The Holiday Inn Telford – Ironbridge is celebrating the great Shropshire summer, by championing a local ‘staycation’ campaign during August.

The hotel, which is only a 10 minute drive from the world-renowned Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage site and a huge range of other family-friendly venues, is encouraging local people to make the most of what’s on their doorstep by providing great deals for families wanting to get out and about this August.

Any two adults who stay for two nights at the Holiday Inn Telford during August will qualify for up to two children who are aged 12 and under to stay for free.  And on top of this, children aged 12 and under can eat for free from the children’s menu, when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

“We live in an amazing part of the world, and sometimes having a ‘staycation’ can be just as much fun as going somewhere new,” comments Wendy Ford, General Manager for the Holiday Inn, Telford.  “We wanted to encourage local people to explore our wonderful town and county by putting on these great offers for August.”

And after a busy day of being local explorers, families can relax and unwind in the hotel’s swimming pool, and mums and dads can also make use of the gym, sauna and steam room.

“Summer holidays this August don’t just mean airport queues, sunburn and losing money on the exchange rate,” continues Wendy Ford.  “This year we want people to find out about what’s within 20 minutes of Telford town centre, and we hope that with these great hotel offers, more people will become ‘staycationers’.”

The Holiday Inn has also put together a ‘top-tip’ guide for where to visit this summer in the Telford area, for more information about this or to book direct, visit www.hitelfordhotel.com or call 01952 527313.
