Well doesn’t time fly? We’re now well into May and that all-important summer holiday is just inches away.
Our fitness members know all about getting ready for the summer, and they’ve been flocking to our new-look gym which is proving incredibly popular after its hi-tech refit.
We’re so excited to be among the first in the region to have what they call “Virtual Active” technology equipment – what’s that you ask?
Well we now have Matrix Fitness CV equipment which is designed to create a multi-sensory experience – sounds good, but what does it really mean?
It means our gym users can view cinema quality video and select their dream running location on a touch-screen display. So if you’ve always wanted to run through the Grand Canyon, or fancied a jog along a beach in Hawaii, now’s your chance!
And that’s not all! You’ll be able to feel terrain changes underfoot and hear scene-setting sounds through your headphones! The machines are also iPod and Nike+ compatible, so what’s not to love?

Away from the fitness fans, we’ve had an extremely busy few weeks, with a good mix of leisure guests and conference delegates including many visitors who were attending the Elim Bible Week event at The International Centre.
We’ve been letting our hair down too at our annual Employee of the Year dinner at our sister property, the Ramada Telford Ironbridge Hotel.
The award gives us the chance to recognise colleagues from across the Southwater Event Group who have delivered the very highest levels of customer service and who have really gone the extra mile in their day-to-day job.
This year’s ultimate winner is Mark Ellison, who is a Demi Chef de Partie at the Ramada – well done Mark! You’re doing a great job!
