Guests at a Telford hotel can now enjoy a function suite that’s been completely transformed, thanks to a £20,000 makeover.
The Reynolds Suite at The Holiday Inn Telford-Ironbridge has a whole new look and is already booked every Saturday between now and December for weddings and functions. General manager at the hotel, Wendy Ford, said: “We are very pleased with the work that’s been carried out and the suite looks incredible.
“It was a challenge as we had to fit in a lot of work in a relatively short time before we begin what is probably the busiest time of year for us – and we were particularly keen to have everything finished in time for the Christmas party season.”
The makeover of the suite (which has a capacity of 250) and the adjoining bar has been extensive. It now has a new energy efficient lighting system, new audio equipment, new carpet and décor, and improved fittings and finishings. And the new-look area has already received the seal of approval from local businesses.
“Rybrook Shrewsbury BMW chose our hotel for a prestigious test drive event and they were the very first to try out the new facilities,” said Wendy. “They said they chose us as the hotel is centrally located and we had the space and capability to handle such an important booking.”
The multi-function suite is proving popular with wedding parties too having already hosted its first celebration.
